GATE Club

The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program is for students determined to be academically talented. At Don Benito, these 3rd - 5th grade students are in a class with a GATE certified teacher in order to provide them with instruction that keeps them challenged and engaged and enables them to excel academically. Currently, all students are tested for the GATE Program at the end of second and fifth grades.

For those qualifying for GATE, Innovation Club is offered weekly during the Fall. The District-wide Innovation Expo is held at the end of the term where students are able to display and compete in the event by sharing their creations and findings from Innovation Club (science, art, engineering).
